DIY Father's Day Gift Idea: Bearded Dad

Mustaches were huge in the 1980's .....I mean, who didn't love Magnum P.I.?!?! Tom Selleck can still 🤘🏼rock the 'stache 🤘🏼The mustache may be out but beards are definitely in!

From the stubble beard to the full beard, 2020 is quickly becoming the Year of the Beard! The beard has been making a comeback in the recent couple years but I have an inkling that life in quarantine due to the global pandemic has contributed to the rise of the beard.

With Father's Day quickly approaching, I wanted to create a few cut images in Cricut Design Space to put on a few different items. One of these items is, of course something for those awesome bearded dads!!

I've created a video walking you through the process of designing this cut image all the way to ironing it on a shirt.

Here are the materials you will need to create this shirt:

• HTV of your choice - although I would not use glitter 👈🏼don't think that would be the right look for your bearded dad.

• Weeding tool

• Scissors

• Cricut Standard Grip Mat

• Fine Point Blade

• T-shirt (any color)

• Cricut Explorer, Air, or Maker

• Cricut Easy Press (any heat press or iron will also work)

Images used:

• Beard #MC868290 (size: 10" width)

• Sunglasses #M980365E (size: 9.5" width)

• Insert Shape: Heart

Fonts used:

• Arial - "I MY BEARDED"

• Ana's Fancy Lettering - Caron - "DAD" (font size 164; unlock 1.792 w x 2.236 h)
